I have a Google Alert for “learning theory” and am thrilled to have picked up this post by Mark David Milliron; which points to a YouTube video by Kathleen Plinske, a colleague of Mark’s and a doctoral student a Pepperdine University. Kathleen created this video in support of her study of learning theory. Watch this with a note pad and pencil while you think of a training problem you are working on. I recommend reading Mark’s post to learn more about the value of implementing new technologies like video to improve the learning experience.
Can you YouTube?

Janet, this is great! Kathleen’s video is a great example of a learner using new (but relatively simple) tools to demonstrate learning.
I particularly like that Mark mentions the tools that were used (digital video camera, Final Cut Pro, and Garage Band). I think it helps to show readers how accessible these tools and skills are. One doesn’t have to be a brainiac programmer who works at Google during the day and plays video games all night to do these things…
Janet,
Great example of what students can be capapble of doing using the tools that are now available to them. Thanks for the link.
