Brandon Hall Group's
Human Capital Management Academy
OVERVIEW
In today’s global and distributed knowledge economy, learning is the only significant differentiator of business results. However, in Brandon Hall Group’s research, less than half of organizations indicated their learning strategy is strongly tied to their business goals. They told us their top concern was creating a stronger link between learning and performance. Taken together, these issues represent a real opportunity to accelerate the business impact of learning strategies in most organizations, regardless of region or industry.
The CEO, other senior business leaders, and HR and Learning and Development (L&D) leaders should act as internal consultants to the business and to each other to implement a learning strategy that creates and sustains organizational success. This new, strategic “tell-me, show-me, let-me-try” working session, led by Brandon Hall Group’s most experienced Learning and Development practitioners and consultants, is centered around our proprietary framework for learning and development excellence. The workshop presents leading practices and offers a practical diagnostic tool to enable decisions and pragmatic actions for accelerating the business impact of learning and development.
This full-day curriculum drives toward three outcomes:

They also have not had insight about the enablers underscoring each activity. Of course, inefficiencies and ineffectiveness prevail. To break that low-impact cycle, this workshop provides insights on:
Diagnosing Current State Learning and Development
Understanding leading practice learning and development is just the start. For business and L&D leaders to take action, another critical step is understanding how effective the current learning and development strategy is – what works, what doesn’t, what is a priority for change, who needs to be involved in change decisions, and what organizational factors hinder or help the change transformation. Using a proprietary online diagnostic tool, the curriculum allows leaders to:
Planning for Higher Impact Future State Learning and Development
A key to more effective learning and development decisions is an actionable plan to execute on leading and critical learning and development practices. In this section of the curriculum, leaders will create a pragmatic action plan using an online tool. Sharing their plans with peers through group activities and an informal panel discussion, leaders will have the opportunity to validate and revise their plans in preparation for execution of them immediately upon returning to work.
